FOUNDERS
Cristina and Katherine have traveled the world producing creative projects from New York and Buenos Aires to Mexico City and beyond.
The co-founders met at WeWork, where they collaborated as the company's Design Director and Creative Director overseeing Latin America. They led the creative vision and scaled up design operations during the start-up's explosive growth across the region. Together they managed a large cross-disciplinary team of architects, interior designers, industrial designers, and graphic artists to design and deliver over 100 projects across 7 countries in Latin America.
Prior to starting Layer Design Collective, Cristina and Katherine worked with global brands and studios including Gensler, Rockwell Group, Starbucks, Dash Design, and JFD Studio. They find inspiration at the intersection of arts and culture, storytelling, sustainability, and creative innovation.

Layer Design Collective is a woman-owned and operated interdisciplinary design studio based in New York and Miami, focusing on hospitality, lifestyle, and spatial experience.
We established Layer Design Collective to create innovative, holistic experiences that are rooted in context, functionality, and beauty. The studio thrives at the intersection of form and function; developing spaces that speak to the passion and purpose of a project's unique story.
